Nature and hiking enthusiasts will delight in the mountain lakes (Lac de Schiessrothried, Lac du Forlet, Lac de l'Altenweier...). The high pastures reached via the Route des Crêtes offer magnificent views over the surrounding valleys.

For thrill-seekers, the Markstein four-season toboggan run and the Schnepfenried tree-top adventure park are less than 15 minutes' drive from the chalet.
